Tendering successfully in late 2013, Group One commenced work on Greenway Lakeside Estate in November. When complete ‘Southquay’ aims to enliven the foreshore and strengthen the Town Centre through a mixture of residential and commercial development, a central park with children’s playground and a lakefront boulevard. The scope of work includes all civil infrastructure to service nine multi-use blocks including roads, hydraulics, electrical reitculation, streetlighting, footpaths and streetscape landscaping. Water sensitive urban design (WSUD) measures such as permeable parking bays and tree soakage pits, along with significant structural concreting works to the promenade and belvedere areas will also be delivered under the contract.
